Hey server owners! We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes making some massive improvements to your Apex Hosting experience. We’re excited to share some recent updates that make our services faster, more reliable, and even easier to use. Let’s dive in!

Blazing-Fast Website & Control Panel Upgrades

We know that a fast and responsive website is crucial for managing your server. That’s why we’ve rolled out some infrastructure upgrades to make your experience smoother than ever.

Faster Failover Time: We’ve massively upgraded our panel and billing systems. If our website ever experiences an issue, it can now recover and switch to a working server much faster! This means more stability and less downtime for you.
Supercharged Loading Speeds: Get ready for a speed boost! We’ve improved the loading performance of the control panel by 3x and our billing system by up to 5x. You’ll notice a huge difference as you navigate the site—it’s snappier, more responsive, and lag-free.

We’re committed to providing a seamless experience, and we’re already monitoring how these speed increases help everyone have a better experience.

New & Improved Features

We’ve also been busy adding new features and making existing ones even better.

MCShield Improvement: We’ve added a Proxy Protocol switch for MCShield! Since MCShield acts as a proxy, this new feature allows your server to properly restore the original IP address of connecting players. Best of all, you can now enable this yourself directly from the control panel, no support ticket needed.
Improved Warnings on Dangerous Actions: Ever worry about accidentally breaking your server when changing versions? We’ve got your back. The control panel will now warn you when switching server versions could potentially damage your worlds, modpacks, or plugins. These smart warnings are context-aware and will alert you to potential issues with:
- World compatibility (including permanent version upgrades)
- Plugin compatibility
- Mod compatibility
- Modpack overwriting

We hope these improvements help you manage your server with more confidence and ease!
