How to Download (Client)

Install CurseForge if you haven’t already, as it’s required for the modpack.

1. Open the CurseForge App and search for “Star Technology”.
2. Click Install and wait for the download to finish.
3. The modpack profile will appear under My Modpacks once complete.

How to Install (Server)

Purchase an Apex Hosting Server if you don’t already have one, then follow these steps:

1. Navigate to your Apex Server Panel and open the Game File section.
2. Use the dropdown and search for “Star Technology”, then select it.
3. In the prompts, click Change Version > Generate New World > Restart Now.
4. Wait for the server to load and join using your Star Technology modpack profile.

Star Technology Showcase

Star Technology is built around one of the most infamously difficult and rewarding mods in Minecraft history: GregTech CEu Modern. It takes the best ideas from classic expert packs and transplants them into a challenging skyblock environment, forcing players to engineer solutions for everything, starting with the very air they breathe. The pack is directly inspired by other technical modpack legends, including Nomifactory, GregTech: New Horizons, and Technological Journey. In a skyblock setting, every single resource must be generated or imported – nothing is easy.

• The Start: You begin with the primitive resource gathering of the Ex Nihilo family of mods, shaking down trees and sifting dust to get the bare essentials needed to progress to your first machine.
• Advanced Tech: The challenge pivots dramatically as you advance. You must engineer difficult, large-scale systems to maintain your resource supply, utilizing void miners, building and managing oil drilling rigs, and constructing sprawling, complex processing lines to refine everything into usable components. This journey from sifting dirt to automated space mining is the core of the pack.

Guidance & Companions

While the pack is brutally difficult, you aren’t left entirely in the dark. However, you’re responsible for your own mental health during the grind.

• The Quest Book: Your most valuable asset is the comprehensive Quest Book. It is constantly updated with every release, serving as the essential roadmap for your journey through the GregTech progression. Pay close attention to its guidance, as there is little room for error.
• Komaru: To support you through the countless hours of machine maintenance and complex wiring, the pack introduces Komaru, a loyal feline companion. This small addition provides some much-needed emotional support during the intensity of the grind!

Once you have mastered the Overworld and achieved late-game progression, Star Technology introduces ways to access new frontiers. Common Issues

In cases where you’re completely unable to join the server, double-check that you’ve installed the Star Technology modpack through CurseForge and launch the game from that. Additionally, see if your Apex server panel has successfully loaded the modpack.

We recommend lowering the render distance or other visual / graphic settings since this modpack is demanding. However, if all players on the server are lagging – then view our Modded Optimization Guide to find solutions.

You might want to increase the allocated memory on the CurseForge App to allow this modpack to run without any problems. This can be done by accessing the settings, then clicking Minecraft and scrolling down to Allocated Memory. However, there could be other reasons for the crash and may require you to do some troubleshooting.

This can happen for various reasons, but we strongly recommend contacting our Support Team. We will give you the assistance needed to resolve this problem. However, you can generate a new world to confirm if the world data is corrupted or causing the crash. If the server starts and doesn’t crash on a new world, then the old data is the reason.
